Turn Back the Clock with A/W ’13 Accessories

Looks like things are taking a retro-ish turn back to the glorious ’80s in the bags department this A/W season. The Sutra Mini bags from Diane von Furstenberg are adorable cross-body purses that feature two motifs already prominent in the house of DVF: the chain link print first seen on the iconic wrap dress, and the Sutra bracelet, but you have to wait until October/December before getting your Furstenberg fix. Furla, meanwhile, has readied a collection full of structured handbags, clutches, and backpacks in a fantastic mixing of colors and textures. The straight lines and deep colors are wonderful throwbacks to the days of Stephanie Seymour and Linda Evangelista; furs and leathers, studs and transparent rubbers all collide to propel you into the A/W style season.

Our friends from Nine West have also included within their F/W ’13 collection a couple of shoes that are definitely worthy of screen time in Working Girl. I’m digging the patent leather barbie pink flats and burgundy court shoes with cone heels, especially since they look like something you could walk around for hours in without blistering your feet.

NYX Parallel Worlds Makeup Collection

NYX designed a special box set for the film adaptation of Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. The box contains six makeup items: mascara, smoky eye palette, blush, jumbo eye pencil, liquid eyeliner, and soft matte lip creme, giving us the flexibility to create either daytime or nighttime look with this collection. For those of you who interested in this limited-edition kit, you better hurry up and pick one up now because the box is only on sale for as long as the movie is in theaters. It retails at IDR 450,000, and which actually makes it cheaper if we buy all the  products separately.

Brighter Skin from Dr. Jart+

The Korean dermatologist brand Dr.Jart+ has released V7 this week in Indonesia. This new brightening line is especially targeted at people who want to brighten their face and remove spots. V7 comes in the form of five products : V7 Turnover Booster, V7 Renewal Serum, V7 Relief Vita Drop, V7 Vitacream, and V7 Beauty Balm. The name V7 represents the seven vitamins found in these products (such as Vitamins A, B3, B5, C, E, F, and H) that help to firm, calm, brighten, and regenerate the skin. If you’re interested and want to try Dr. Jart+ products, you can find them at Alam Sutera, Matahari Dept. Store Taman Anggrek Mall, and Lotte Shopping Avenue.
